Little Brother Brewing is a small taproom at the corner of Elm and McGee in Hamburger Square, downtown Greensboro. Its best known beer is Pleasing Gene, a German pilsner made with all local North Carolina malt. The website says it was named Best in Show Lager at the 2023 Tasting Alliance World Beer Competition.
The beer is brewed on a 10-barrel system at the company's brewhouse in Kernersville. Pleasing Tony, an Italian pilsner, won bronze at the 2026 World Beer Cup, according to the website. The bar also pours wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
Little Brother runs a Homebrewer Spotlight program. It gives amateur brewers a stage to share their beer with the taproom crowd. Local musicians and artists get the same welcome.
Every night has a plan. Tuesday is run club, Wednesday is trivia, and Friday and Saturday bring live music at 8:30pm. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Greensboro on this site.
