Lower Left Brewing Co. is a brewery in the Lower Southend neighborhood of Charlotte. Its website says it opened in August 2019. The owners, Tim Curtis and Alex Shoenthal, say a lot of Alex's gold medal winning homebrew recipes are on tap.
The lineup leans toward IPAs, sours, farmhouse ales and Belgian inspired beers. The owners also list barrel-aged beers, fruit and botanical infusions, and traditional session styles. Beers featured on the website include Cemetery Gates Smoked Porter, Three Hour Tour and Juicy McJuiceface.
The taproom uses salvaged materials from the community, including metal roofing from an old barn in Concord. Families are welcome, and leashed, well behaved dogs can join you in the taproom or on the patio.
There is no full kitchen on site. The taproom sells local snacks, Zepeddie's Pizzeria delivers to the taproom, and you are welcome to bring your own food.
