About Wayward Lane Brewing

Wayward Lane Brewing is a working farm brewery and taproom on Ward Lane in Schoharie. The taproom is a restored 1800s hop house on 65 acres of farmland in the Schoharie Valley. The brewery says it was named New York State Brewery of the Year in 2023 and 2025.

The beer ranges from aromatic IPAs to crisp lagers, coolship rested wild ales and oak aged strong ales. Many ingredients come from the farm itself, which also keeps bees and grows fruit. Four-packs of new releases are sold to go.

The setting is easy and open. There is a large outdoor space, and chickens and farm pets roam among the tables. Kids and dogs are welcome, and live music, food trucks and a monthly summer farmers market fill the calendar. Wayward Lane is the most reviewed beer spot in Schoharie.
