About Serious Brewing Company
Serious Brewing Company is a New York State farm brewery in Howes Cave, in Schoharie County. It moved into the old KPI Screen Printing building in the spring of 2016. The brewer started as a home brewer and began numbering batches SB #1, which is where the name came from.
The regular lineup runs from Alco Oatmeal Milk Stout at 4.5% ABV to Bine of My Existence IPA at 7.5%. The IPA is brewed with Ekuanot hops and fermented with a Belgian yeast. Schoharie Burning is a Belgian wheat beer flavored with sweet orange peel, grains of paradise and coriander.
On nice days the patio doors open for outside seating. Dogs are welcome, and you can bring your own meal or order from local menus for food delivery. Snacks are sold on site, and the entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible.
Not a beer drinker? The brewery also pours New York wine, cider and spirits from other farms. It takes private event bookings and rents out the space.
