About Blue Heron Brewery
Blue Heron Brewery is a brewery and taproom on NM-68 in Dixon, on the banks of the Rio Grande. It was established in 2009. The brewery says it is New Mexico's oldest female owned and operated brewery.
The taproom keeps a short lineup of house beers. Highside Hefeweizen is a light wheat beer with hints of spice and citrus. Oro de Rio Grande is a traditional Czech pilsner brewed with Saaz hops.
Lady Bug IPA is a clean, hoppy beer with a citrus nose. R cubed is a raspberry rye with a dry finish. La Llorona Scottish Ale is dark and malty, and the brewery calls it its most popular beer.
The taproom is family friendly. Dogs are not allowed, though ADA service animals are fine.
