About Flounder Brewing Co., LLC
Flounder Brewing Co., LLC is a family-owned brewery in Hillsborough Township. Its tasting room is a restored Dutch barn more than 250 years old, on Carriage Farm. The website says the brewery started in 2013 in an industrial park garage and opened here in June 2021.
The beer is made in a second barn on the farm. The website describes a 3-barrel and a 15-barrel brewhouse. That lets the brewer try small batches and also brew larger runs for distribution and canning.
Music is a big part of the place. The website lists Irish seisuns, open mic nights, a Songwriter's Corner and ticketed house concerts. Private events are offered too, and the loft rental fits up to 49 guests.
Food is bring your own. New Jersey law does not let the brewery sell food, so rotating food trucks stop by Thursdays through Sundays from March through December. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patios only.
