About APEShip Brewing
APEShip Brewing is a nautical-themed brewery on the Bricks in downtown North Platte. Its bar is a repurposed boat. Its website says the brewery is docked in the Dickey Building, which was built in 1889 as the North Platte National Bank.
Joel and Liz Bennett run the place. They ran a cleaning business for 30 years before turning to brewing. Joel spent years brewing in their garage, and the beers draw on trips to Germany, Belgium and the Czech Republic.
The year-round list includes an amber ale, a blonde, a juicy IPA, a Kolsch, a gose and a brown ale. There is a hard kombucha too. Non-alcoholic choices include lemonade, kombucha and homemade root beer.
The kitchen serves nachos, paninis, bratwurst and more. A brisket sandwich is on the menu on Fridays and Saturdays only. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
