Jeremy Kneeland began brewing at home in 2014, after his wife Sunni gave him a homebrew kit. Homebrew competition medals and plenty of people asking where to buy his beer led to the brewery.
The name looks back to 1920s Kansas City, when the political faction of boss Tom Pendergast was known as the Goats. The website says the brewery is named in homage to the libations that flowed in those years.
The bar also pours cocktails, whiskeys and tequilas, plus house made soda. The website lists live music and food trucks as well.
