About Piney River Brewing Company
Piney River Brewing Company is a farm brewery in Bucyrus, in the Ozarks. Owners Brian and Joleen Durham brew on their farm, in and around a restored 1940s barn. The brewery says it was the first microbrewery in Missouri to can beer at the brewery, in November 2011.
The taproom is the BARn, and it opened to the public in March 2011. You can order a pint or a sample tray, or have a glass of Andy's Root Beer. Black Walnut is on the list year round.
Handmade pizza and pretzels are on the menu, and outside food is welcome too. Kids and dogs are both welcome, and there is plenty of space to play. Ask your beertender about a tour of the brewhouse.
The brewery says Old Tom Porter won gold at the Great American Beer Festival in 2013. It also says Float Trip Ale won gold at the World Beer Cup in 2014.
