About Beard Engine Brewing Co.
Beard Engine Brewing Co. is a brewery and taproom on Main St in Alba, Missouri. It is built around English pub style, with a steampunk look and beers brewed from East Anglian malt and hops.
The brewers make English and European beers by hand, and they skip freezing and pasteurising. The tap list changes, and it has run from a Chocolate Milk Stout and a Vanilla Cream Ale to a London Lager, an Extra Special Bitter and a New England IPA. Penny Dreadful, an amber lager with fire-roasted poblano and serrano peppers, is one of the top sellers.
There is a gluten-free sour on the list too, from a series the brewery calls pHunk. The taproom also hosts live music, and food trucks visit. Kids are welcome, and the entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible.
