About Chandeleur Island Brewing Company
Chandeleur Island Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom on 14th Street in downtown Gulfport. It was started by Cammack and Cain Roberds, who were born and raised in Gulfport. The name comes from the Chandeleur Islands, an uninhabited chain off the Mississippi coast.
The founders bought a historic downtown building in December 2013. The year round lineup includes a golden ale, a Gulf Coast IPA, a pineapple wheat, a tangerine sour and an American light lager. A Gulf Sour Series adds fruit flavors like guava, passion fruit and key lime.
The taproom sits less than a quarter mile from the Gulf of Mexico. Large viewing windows give you a look at the brewing process, and kids can play games and see a saltwater aquarium. The front porch is dog friendly.
