About Thor's Hard Cider
Thor's Hard Cider is a cider taproom on Aamodt's Apple Farm in Stillwater. The cider is made from fresh-pressed, full-strength, locally grown apples with no preservatives. Its website says the apples are grown, harvested, pressed and brewed on the same farm.
The name comes from Thor Aamodt. The website calls him the great-grandfather and founder of Aamodt's Apple Farm. It says the family blends Minnesota Honeycrisp with tart Haralson and a few other varieties.
The tap list rotates, and the FAQ says there are usually at least 8 ciders on tap. Food changes with the seasons. Frequent offerings include smoked pulled pork, apple brats and pretzels with cheese dip.
