About Seedz Brewery

Seedz Brewery is a small-batch brewery in Union Pier, Michigan. It makes lagers, traditional English ales and saisons, and it brews with locally sourced Midwest ingredients. The taproom opened in February 2021.

Owner and brewer Ryan Ziarko spent four years at Burn 'Em Brewing in Michigan City, Indiana before starting his own place. He built Seedz in an old Union Pier building that once held a tiki bar and several restaurants.

Beer is poured the slow way. Each style goes into its own glassware with a thick head of foam, and an average pour takes 5 to 7 minutes. There are no flights, but the staff offer a taster to help you choose.

Outside, the biergarten has long tables, firepits and a putting green. Leashed dogs are welcome there, and so are supervised kids. Hopper is the resident brewpup.
