About Silver Spruce Brewing Company
Silver Spruce Brewing Company is a brewery on East Eighth Street in Traverse City. It opened in November 2018 in a building that used to be a Family Video. A second location sits on Silver Lake Road.
Owners Scott and Leah began honing their brewing in Asheville, North Carolina. They focus on classic styles and clean, well-balanced lagers. Leah is originally from Traverse City.
The Eighth Street taproom has no kitchen of its own. A food truck sets up on the patio, and Two Sons Pizza serves inside the taproom. The patio runs along the west side of the building, with a roof and several fire pits.
Dogs are welcome on the patio only, on a leash. Kids are welcome too, and the taproom keeps juice boxes and snacks on hand. It also makes a hard cider in house and pours red and white wine.
