About Alpha Michigan Brewing Company

Alpha Michigan Brewing Company is a veteran-owned nano-brewery and taproom on East Center Street in Alpha. Its motto is "We Brew with a Purpose," and a share of its proceeds goes to local charities, schools, families in need and veteran organizations.

The taproom sits in a repurposed historic bus garage that is part of the Porter School Buildings. The building was also once the Alpha-Mastodon Fire Department and the Alpha General Store. A church pew from St. Edward's Catholic church sits inside, and the bar was part of the longest bar in Iron County in 1914.

Historical local pictures line the walls. Outside there is a beer garden and a patio with its own bar. Food is welcome, and the taproom sells pretzels, nuts, jerky and pizzas you cook in its pizza oven. Families are welcome, and the entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating are all wheelchair accessible.
