About Sapwood Cellars Brewery

Sapwood Cellars Brewery is a brewpub in Columbia, Maryland. Its website says it is dually focused on barrel-aged mixed-fermented beers and fresh hoppy ales. Two home brewers who turned their hobby into careers founded it.

The name explains the split. Sap stands for the fresh IPAs, and wood stands for the acidic barrel-aged beers. The brewery says it aims for beers that are balanced, drinkable and highly aromatic.
