About Church Street Brewing Company
Church Street Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery and taproom in Itasca, Illinois. Its website says the beer is brewed on a decoction brewhouse, which moves portions of the mash between two kettles. Founder Joe Gregor built it after falling for the lagers he found while working in southern Germany.
Lagers are the specialty. The website says Church Street has six to twelve lagers on tap at any given time. It also pours British pub ales, hazy IPAs, fruited sours and barrel-aged beers, and it advertises 30 or more beers on tap.
The taproom has a full kitchen. The menu lists a giant soft pretzel with house made beer cheese, pizza and flatbread, wings and salads. The brewery also hosts private events and weddings in its event spaces.
A review quoted on the website calls the place dog and kid friendly. Monday is trivia night in the taproom. More people have reviewed Church Street Brewing Company on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Itasca on this site.
