About Portneuf Valley Brewing
Portneuf Valley Brewing is a family brewpub in Pocatello, Idaho. It poured its first beer for the public in July 1996. Its website calls owner Penny Pink the original brewer and the grandmother of Idaho brewing.
Penny bought the old East Idaho Brewing Company building in 1999. The pub opened to the public in October 2005. Google describes the space as a wood and brick brewpub with live music.
Food is a big part of a visit. The kitchen serves pub grub such as burgers, fish and chips, and baskets, plus changing weekend dinner specials. Penny also makes house-made fermented foods, including SuperGurt yogurt and sauerkraut.
The Loft can be rented for parties and events, and the website says the whole building can be rented too. More people have reviewed Portneuf Valley Brewing on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Pocatello on this site.
