Alvarium Beer Company is a brewery and taproom on John Downey Drive in New Britain, Connecticut. The brewery says it is New Britain's first microbrewery and taproom. It was founded to revitalize a historical city.
The beer list is long. There are IPAs such as Honey Shot and phresh, a light lager called Crispy Roll, and a pilsner called The Pils. There are also barrel aged projects and a hard seltzer line.
Cremo is a nod to local history. The brewery says Cremo was the original brewery in New Britain in the early 1900s. Alvarium brought the name back with its own adaptation of the brand.
