About Prohibition Brewing Company
Prohibition Brewing Company is a brewpub on East Vista Way, in Vista's north end. Its lineup runs to more than 20 beers brewed in house, from light to dark. The website lists medals from the San Diego International Beer Festival and says it was voted Vista's Choice Brewery.
Ruby Red, an Irish style red ale, carries four gold medals, and ProCo, a San Diego style IPA, won silver. Other pours include Gringo Loco Mexican style lager, Vanilla Stout and St. Valentine, a blood orange IPA. Grain, hops and yeast are locally sourced.
The kitchen bakes its meats in-house, slices cheese from the block and makes soups, salads and sauces from scratch. Expect wings, never frozen burgers, sandwiches and hand-made pizza, and Google mentions weekend breakfast. The kids menu has no age limit.
A large outdoor space and ample parking suit big gatherings, and dogs can hang out on the patio. The website says it hosts live music, car shows and charitable events. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
