About Moose Dog Brewing
Moose Dog Brewing is a brewery and taproom in Visalia's Industrial Park. Its website says the motto is faith first and beer second, and each beer carries its own Bible verse. The team says it prays over every batch in the fermenter.
Jeff and Zack began brewing in 2010. The name comes from Duke, a Great Dane and Golden Retriever mix who was called a moose of a dog. Duke is on some of the labels and in the tasting room.
The taproom opened in 2019 with a tiny tasting room. It now has an expanded bar and sitting area, and its website says there is room in the brewhouse for live entertainment. Staff can point you to corn-hole, pool, table shuffleboard and cards.
You can drink a pint there or take beer home in a growler, bottle or pack. Food trucks visit on Fridays. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Visalia on this site.
