About Validation Ale
Validation Ale is a brewery in the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara. Its tap list works like a contest. The website says the Validated beer in each category is the most ordered beer in the tap room, and a new Vying recipe challenges it.
The Funk Zone site is called Validation HQ. Its website says it houses a craft beer brewery and an artisan distillery, with ample outdoor space for games and mingling. Validation also runs a second location, the Annex, in uptown Santa Barbara.
The website says Chef Matt and Kaity lead the kitchen, and the menu leans on classic favorites with a twist. The site also lists menus for spirits and cocktails and for other drinks.
Live music plays on most Thursday evenings and many Tuesday evenings, according to the website. Stand up comedy and pub trivia run on alternating Wednesdays. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating.
