Sequoia Sake is a sake brewery on Apparel Way in San Francisco. Its website calls it the first local artisan sake brewery in the city. The team has been making sake since 2015.
The sake is built on California ingredients. The website lists water from the Yosemite watershed, organic rice from the Sacramento Valley, heirloom koji and native sake yeast. It specializes in all-natural Junmai Ginjo Nama sake, made with only water, rice, koji and yeast.
The brewery also makes a Coastal sake that is bottle pasteurized, a barrel-aged sake finished in Napa wine barrels, and an infused sake.
