Southern Pacific Brewing is a brewpub on Treat Avenue in San Francisco's Mission District. It fills a sprawling 10,000-square-foot warehouse turned food and drink hall. The name comes from the historic railroad.
Everything on tap is brewed on site. The brewery's philosophy is to rethink classic styles, simplify them and modernize them. It pours crisp lagers, IPAs and seasonal beers, and says it is putting lagers back in the limelight.
The kitchen runs a full menu. There are sage fries, wings, tacos, burgers and fish and chips made with cod battered in the house pale ale. Bread pudding and a root beer float close things out.
The room fills up with live music and local events, and the brewery books private events. More people have reviewed Southern Pacific Brewing on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in San Francisco on this site.

Yes, before 7pm. Guests under 21 are welcome daily until then, and all minors must be with a guardian.
