About Shadow Grove Brewing
Shadow Grove Brewing is a brewery and taproom in a standalone 2,600 square foot building in downtown San Fernando. Its website says the founders, Ron and Tom, are two friends with a passion for beer, darts and world-building. The design follows a storyline, and you meet its characters through the beers.
The beer list changes, and the website says you may not find the same beer on tap week after week. Styles on the current list run from a Czech-style lager and a hazy IPA to a dry Irish stout and a fruited sour. The site says its black IPA, It Hunts at Night, has won medals at the Brewers Cup of California, the US Open Beer Championship and the Denver International Beer Competition.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating. A dart room stage hosts live acts, and weekly nights include trivia on Thursdays, karaoke on Tuesdays and music bingo on Wednesdays.
Shadow Grove also runs a second taproom and kitchen in North Hollywood, called Where the Creatures Sleep. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in San Fernando on this site.
