Protector Brewery's Miramar Tasting Room, on Miralani Drive in San Diego, is where the brewery got its start, opening in the summer of 2017. Founder Sean Haggerty is a Navy SEAL veteran who began homebrewing during a deployment to Iraq, when a cold beer was hard to come by. He and his wife and co-founder, Cory Haggerty, built that homebrew habit into a business.

Protector pours organic, vegan beer, including the Organic SD West Coast Style IPA, Organic Hazy Mosaic Pale Ale, Organic Citra Juicy Double IPA and Organic SD Lager. The brewery says every ingredient is U.S. grown, non-GMO and USDA organic, with no synthetic pesticides or artificial flavors.

Protector is a Power100 Champion, running on 100% renewable energy from San Diego Community Power. It also partners with SD Microbes to recycle its spent grain instead of sending it to a landfill, and packages its cans in 100% recyclable material.

The tasting room takes bookings for private and semi-private events, with flexible deposit and drink ticket options. Google lists the Miramar location with a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating.
