About Mattie Groves Brewery
From Mattie Groves Brewery's own website and its Google listing, read October 3, 2026.
Mattie Groves Brewery is a taproom on L Street in Sacramento. Its name comes from a traditional British folk song, and the website tells the story of that song at length. The name is also a portmanteau of the owners' names, its site says.
The website says the aim is affordable, premium quality beer and a comfortable communal space. Non-alcoholic beers are planned, and soft drinks and water are always on hand. Board games are there for anyone who wants to play.
There is no kitchen at the brewery. Old Soul Co., in the adjoining unit, provides a menu for guests, which you order at the Mattie Groves bar. Outside food is allowed too.
Dogs are welcome inside the taproom and on the patio, leashed. Kids are welcome as well, though the brewery says it is not kid oriented. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating.
