About Docent Brewing
Docent Brewing is a brewpub on State Street in Carlsbad, one of four Southern California taprooms. Its website calls the company Southern California's craft beer guide. Google also lists it as a beer garden with burgers, salads, sandwiches and tacos.
The website says the beers are approachable, balanced and easy to drink, with no focus on one style. It adds that the brewers have personal favorites in IPAs and imperial stouts. Carlsbad keeps its own tap list.
Its website says Super Tonic, a coffee stout, has won gold at the Great American Beer Festival. It also says Double Nickels, a pale ale, took gold at the World Beer Cup.
The kitchen has a Carlsbad Village menu. The website says the Korean Reuben has a loyal following at every location. Children are welcome if they are polite and controlled, and Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot and restroom.
