The Perch Brewery is a brewpub in downtown Chandler with a rooftop bar and a courtyard full of rescued exotic birds. The Chandler brewery gives those birds a forever home. The biggest resident is Bubba, a Hyacinth Macaw the website calls a gentle giant.
The house tap list runs about two dozen deep, from Der Vogel German Pilsner and All Saints Hefe to Cackling Macaw Double IPA. The dark end goes big, with Mating Dance, a 12.5% imperial milk stout. The list changes often.
The scratch kitchen does pub food with a twist, like beer-battered avocado tacos, gochujang Brussels sprouts and a brick oven tamale. There are pizzas and half-pound burgers too. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Groups of 20 or more can book the courtyard, garden or rooftop. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Chandler on this site.
