About Goat Island Brewing

Goat Island Brewing is a production brewery and taproom on John Cooper Drive SE in Cullman. This is the Original, one of two Cullman taprooms, with a big stage for live local music. The other, The Goat at Cotton Creek, is a small-batch pilot brewery downtown.

Richter's Pilsner is a crisp German-style pilsner built on a historic Cullman beer recipe. The lineup also includes Goatopia IPA, Blood Orange Berliner Weisse, Big Bridge IPA and Duck River Dunkel.

The brewery says Duck River Dunkel won a silver medal at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival. It also says Richter's Pilsner is a two-time gold medalist at the Alabama Craft Beer Championship.

Families are welcome, and so are well-behaved, leashed dogs. There is no restaurant on site, but food trucks visit regularly and you can bring your own food or order delivery.
