Rooftop Brewing Company is a Seattle brewery that started in a garage off Nickerson Street in north Queen Anne. Its website says it was founded in 2012 and opened to the public in 2013. Rooftop now pours at the Jolly Roger Taproom in Ballard.
It began as a one-barrel nano-brewery and tasting room in an industrial garage. Five friends built it, brewed and tended bar on second shift after their day jobs. That is how the brewery gained its first devoted following.
