About Smithville Brewing Company
Smithville Brewing Company is a family-friendly brewery with a full kitchen, on a three-acre site off Highway 71 in Smithville. It sits near the municipal airport and pours its own beer alongside wine and non-alcoholic drinks. The brewery says it was named Best Brewery in 2023.
Todd Henry is the owner and head brewer. He has more than 15 years of professional brewing experience in Austin, including stints at NLand Brewing Company, Independence Brewing Company and LoveJoy's Brewpub. The house beers include a porter, a pale ale, a hefeweizen, an Irish red ale and a light beer called Buescher Light.
The kitchen serves burgers made with local longhorn beef, along with pizza, nachos, wings and sandwiches. Chef DJ Ebner is a Smithville native. Gluten free pizza crust is available. Live music plays every Sunday afternoon, and leashed pets are welcome outside.
