About Barrow Brewing Company
Barrow Brewing Company is a brewery and brewpub on Royal Street in Salado. The brewery says it is the first microbrewery in Bell County and the only brewery in Salado. The brewery was built from an old pole barn granary, and the knotty pine plank walls inside are original.
The doors opened in 2016, after a petition and an election to change the laws in the village. Founder Graydon Hill was a commercial airline pilot, and his focus on quality control carried over to brewing.
Evil Catfish IPA and Creek Don't Rise Lager are year-round beers packaged in 6-packs. Mystery of the Deep DIPA is also a year-round can. Outside the taproom there is a beer garden.
At least one food truck is on site every day. Live music runs Thursday to Sunday, and the taproom and outdoor spaces are child and pet friendly.
