About Grain Theory
Grain Theory is a brewpub and event space on the second floor of a downtown Abilene building. Its website says three local homebrewers founded it and turned their passion into a community gathering spot. Brewery, kitchen and coffee bar all share one roof.
The website describes aroma-packed, flavor-driven beer from a brewery that does not shy away from experimentation and funk. A curated wine list sits alongside the taps. The coffee bar pours everything from European-style espresso to house-roasted pour-overs.
The scratch kitchen makes breakfast tacos, house made sausages, salads and grain bowls. Seasoned fries are a big deal here, served with sauces made in-house. A limited breakfast menu runs daily, and brunch is served on Saturdays.
The space covers 5,000 square feet. Dogs are welcome on the balcony but not inside, and children of all ages are welcome. More people have reviewed Grain Theory on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Abilene on this site.
