About Groove Brewing
Groove Brewing is a neighborhood microbrewery in the Pine Brook section of Scranton. It opened in March 2020 as a 1 BBL nano brewery in a former dental office. In January 2023 it moved a few blocks away to a 5 BBL brewery.
Groove runs ten taps and changes the list often. Its website says the brewery is known for well-balanced German lagers, flavorful kettle sours and robust imperial stouts. Pints, flights and 9oz pours are all on offer.
The current space has garage doors, an upper and lower tap room, and a separate room for private events. The website says the event space holds up to 65 people. The owners like that patrons can walk or bike over.
Brewmaster Ed Generose has over 25 years of brewing experience. Co-owners Joe and Shannon Bonacci say their mission is to introduce Northeast PA to craft beer culture.
