Breweries in North Dakota
Based on the breweries in the brewery.fyi register and their own websites, read September 2026.
Fargo and Bismarck carry most of the North Dakota beer map. Fargo holds about a quarter of the breweries and Bismarck about a fifth. Add Grand Forks, and just over half of them sit in those three cities.
The rest are in a handful of smaller towns, including Minot, Mandan, Jamestown and Killdeer. Almost every place listed is a brewery, and most are small microbreweries or brewpubs. A few beer stores, a cider bar and a beer hall round out the list.
Drekker Brewing Company in Fargo and Laughing Sun Brewing Co. in Bismarck are two of the most reviewed breweries in the state. Buckskin in Killdeer and Half Brothers Brewing Co in Grand Forks also draw plenty of reviews.

Planning a brewery trip in North Dakota
Fargo makes the easiest base, since more breweries cluster there than anywhere else in the state. Bismarck is the next best choice, and Grand Forks and Minot each have a few stops of their own.
Outside those cities the breweries are spread out, so plan each stop before you drive. Every brewery page on brewery.fyi has hours, a map and what to know before you go.
