About Laconia Ale Works

Laconia Ale Works is a locally owned and operated brewery on the north end of downtown Main Street in Sparta. The brewery says it is Sparta and Alleghany County's first brewery. The taproom has a large open interior and an even larger patio with a fire pit.

A seven barrel brew house turns out a wide variety of beer styles. That includes light lagers, hoppy pales and dark porters.

The bar also pours wine, cider, ginger beer and select craft cocktails, and it sells snacks. Outside food is always allowed, so you can bring your own.

Corn hole and board games are always out to play. Live music and open mic nights come through the taproom, and food pop-ups visit too.
