About Jolly Roger Brewery
Jolly Roger Brewery is a pirate-themed brewery in Mooresville, near Lake Norman. Its website says veteran Tony Philipp founded it in 2017. The site adds that Tony was raised in Germany with a Bavarian beer making heritage.
The beers carry names borrowed from pirate lore. They include IPAtch Double IPA, Pirates Gold, Barbarossa Red Ale and Black Beard Imperial Stout. Its website says Walk the Plank Wheat earned a bronze award at the 2019 NC Brewers Cup.
