
About Hi-Wire Brewing - South Slope
Hi-Wire Brewing's South Slope taproom is the original Hi-Wire brewhouse in Asheville, on Hilliard Avenue. Its website says the brewery opened in the summer of 2013 in a 2,700 square foot space. Today the brewhouse is dedicated to sour and wild ales, small batch one-offs and taproom exclusives.
The site lists 20 taps of Hi-Wire beer, from flagships and seasonals to specialties and sours. There are also cocktails, wine and cider. Non-alcoholic and THC options are on the list too.
At the back of the building is The Tiki Easy Bar, a tiki cocktail speakeasy. The taproom is family friendly and has games. Outside food is welcome, but outside drinks are not.
Groups can reserve a table or area on any day of the week, when available. Reservations are not required, according to its website.
