About Plan Bee Farm Brewery
Plan Bee Farm Brewery is a family owned farm brewery on a 25-acre farm in Poughkeepsie. Its website says the bees collect the yeast, the farm grows the grain and the barn does the rest. The beer is wild-fermented farmhouse ale.
The website says the brewery harvests wild yeast from its own beehives. It coolships the beer overnight in open air and ferments only in oak foeders. Every ingredient is grown in New York State, most of it on the farm.
Emily and Evan Watson started the brewery. In 2015 it moved to this farm, where a renovated 1830s barn holds the brewhouse. Today it centers on one beer, Barn Beer, a wild farmhouse ale that varies from batch to batch.
The taproom has nine tap lines for pours and bottles to go. It also sells New York wine, hard cider and non-alcoholic drinks.
