About Barrier Brewing Co.
Barrier Brewing Co. is a brewery with a taproom in Oceanside, on Long Island. Its website says it was founded in 2009 and calls itself Nassau County's longest standing craft brewery. Google says it makes 50+ locally distributed beers.
The site tells the story of founder Evan Klein, who went door to door to bars across Long Island. He asked what styles they wanted to try. Then he went back, brewed them and returned with a keg.
The beers run from hop-forward IPAs and crisp lagers to experimental releases. The website sorts them into a core lineup, a seasonal lineup, a German series and specialties. Oceanside keeps its own draft list.
Barrier also has a second taproom in Long Beach. The website lists open mic night as a weekly event. More people have reviewed Barrier Brewing Co. on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Oceanside on this site.
