Other Half Brewing Company: Finger Lakes is a brewery, taproom and beer garden on State Route 5 and 20 in Bloomfield. Its website says it opened in 2018 as a farmhouse brewery on 8 acres. The idea was to explore a connection to local agriculture and wild yeast through spontaneous and mixed-fermentation brewing.
The taproom pours over 20 of its IPAs, lagers, sours, stouts and seltzers on draft and by the can. The website calls Green City its flagship IPA. A line of mixed and spontaneous fermentation beers called In Bloom is made exclusively in Bloomfield.
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and a food truck serves snacks. Dogs are welcome if they are leashed and well behaved. Kids are welcome too, as long as they are closely supervised.
Other Half began in Brooklyn in 2014 and has since added spaces in several cities. The Bloomfield taproom hosts trivia and takes private event bookings. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Bloomfield on this site.
