About Unrefined Brewing
Unrefined Brewing is a brewery in Tarpon Springs. Its story began in 2019, when a group took a trip to New Orleans to celebrate a 40th birthday during Mardi Gras. They came home with a brewery.
Co-owner and head brewer Gordon Scott says the beer is made with natural ingredients, not extracts. Batches change with the seasons, and the brewery calls that variety a good thing. The focus is small batches.
The beer names are playful. The website lists Silenus, Papposilenus, Mexican Candy, Gourdalicious and Frank Dancey's Beach Country Blonde. A Russian Imperial Stout with Coffee and Chicory is a tribute to that New Orleans trip.
