Strings Sports Brewery is a family owned brewery and restaurant on North Main Street in Jacksonville's historic Springfield neighborhood. It fills a restored 1930s Art Deco building. This is one of two Strings locations, the other on the beach in Jacksonville Beach.
The Adeeb family runs Strings. Several of its beers carry names from Jacksonville sports history, including Bullet Bob, named for Olympic and NFL great Bob Hayes. Beers on tap vary by location, since Strings brews for both its Springfield and Jax Beach taprooms.
Inside, Strings blends a scratch kitchen with a full size basketball court and big screens for game day, so there is always something going on. Kids are part of the mix too, and the brewery calls itself family friendly. The menu runs from burgers and wings to a jumbo barbecue brisket sandwich.
