About Southern Swells Brewing Co
Southern Swells Brewing Co is a brewery and taproom in Beach Plaza on Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville Beach. Its website says it has been keeping things hazy since 2017. This is the original home, and a second location runs at The Block Jax.
The Jax Beach site has a 10bbl brewing system, a 150bbl cellar and a canning line. The room has more than 7,500 square feet of indoor space, plus a patio and a private events room.
Hazy beer leads the lineup, headed by Karate in the Garage, a New England style IPA brewed with Simcoe and Mosaic Cryo hops. The draft list also runs to hard seltzer, a light lager and a hop water with no alcohol.
Live music plays every Friday night at 6PM, with local vendor pop-ups earlier that evening. Games on Jaguars and Florida State days show on a 100 inch projector. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Jacksonville Beach on this site.
