Beach Chalet Brewery and Restaurant is a brewpub in Golden Gate Park, right at Ocean Beach. It has been there since 1996. The building is a Spanish colonial revival landmark, and its website says Willis Polk built it in 1925.
The beer is brewed in-house. The website calls it Chalet Ales & Lagers and says the range runs from crisp lagers to seasonal releases. A sampler gives you eight house-brewed beers in 4 ounce pours.
The first floor holds the Lucien Labaudt WPA frescoes from 1936, and the website says they are open daily to the public. Upstairs, windows span the whole bar and dining room. The menu leans on seafood, from fish and chips to whole grilled branzino.
