About The Monk's Cellar
The Monk's Cellar is a brewpub on Vernon Street in downtown Roseville. The name is a nod to the brewing traditions of Belgium. The brewery says it was the first brewery in the 30 year history of the California State Fair Commercial Beer Competition to be named Brewery of the Year twice.
The house beers lean European. They include a Belgian style witbier, a Berliner Weisse, an English pale ale and a German pilsner, along with an American pale ale and a few IPAs. A guest list adds German beers from other breweries.
The kitchen is a big part of the visit. Burgers come with duck fat fries, and the menu also has fish and chips, steak frites and a vegan nut burger. The room is laid-back and wood-clad.
Tuesday is trivia night, and trivia starts at 6:30pm. The space also takes private parties. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Roseville on this site.
