Contentment Brewing Company is a family owned brewery and taproom on Campus Way in Modesto. All ages are welcome, and the website says kids, pets and adults can all relax there. Alcohol goes only to guests 21 and over with a valid ID.
Every beer is brewed on site in a 7-barrel brewhouse by Head Brewer Alex and Assistant Brewer Nik. The menu runs from a Belgian ale and a hefeweizen to West Coast IPAs and seltzers. The website says Trail's End, a classic West Coast IPA, is the beer that put Contentment on the map.
Kids get their own drafts. Root beer and cream soda are made in house and poured on tap, and there is an ultra-low alcohol beer called Limbo.
Food comes from a rotating lineup of food trucks, and local bands play live music. Shuffleboard, pool, pinball and patio games fill out the room. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Modesto on this site.
