About Idol Beer Works

Idol Beer Works is a brewery on South Sacramento Street in downtown Lodi. The name is Lodi spelled backwards. It opened to the public in 2017, in a building that used to be a tire shop.

Its website says owner and head brewer Grant Hamilton wanted a place that showcased traditional west coast IPAs alongside Germanic beers. The lineup includes a Kolsch, a Scottish ale called The Bruce and a milk stout. The website calls Smutty Fräulein, a German blonde ale, one of its signature beers.

The taproom has a beer garden and two stages. The website lists live music, taproom trivia, open mic nights and country dance nights. Its events page says all events are family friendly unless stated otherwise.

You can take beer home in cans or fill a 64 oz growler. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot.
