About Kern River Brewing Company
Kern River Brewing Company is a brewpub in Kernville, California. The brewery says it is Kernville's only brewpub, at the gateway to the Sequoia National Forest. The brewery started in 2005.
There are two family-friendly restaurants about 100 feet apart, the Original Pub and the Backyard Pub. They share one parking lot. The menus differ, but the beer and service are the same at both.
The Original Pub menu runs from fried pickles and Bavarian pretzel sticks to hot wings and pulled pork tacos. The brewery also makes a handcrafted root beer, and growlers can be filled to go. Live music plays every Friday evening.
Since December 2022 the company has been 100% employee-owned through an ESOP. Founders Eric and Rebecca Giddens still work there. The brewery says Rebecca won a silver medal at the Athens Olympics as part of the US canoe and kayak team.
